Dr. Raphael Separzadeh is a specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. He is dedicated in providing an individualized experience and the highest quality of care in orthodontics for all ages. He also continues to bring the latest advancements in orthodontics to benefit his patients.
Dr. Separzadeh attended the University of California- Los Angeles (UCLA) and received a B.S. degree in Psychobiology, graduating Magna Cum Laude, obtaining Departmental Honors in Psychobiology and elected to Phi Beta Kappa honors society. He then continued his education at UCLA receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The UCLA School of Dentistry, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class. Dr. Separzadeh then specialized in his dental training, attending a 30 month residency in orthodontics at Saint Louis University where he received his Orthodontic Certificate and Masters of Science in Dentistry (MSD).
Dr. Separzadeh has conducted extensive and innovative research. His master's thesis focused on craniofacial growth and is currently in preparation for publication. In addition, Dr. Separzadeh has conducted research on the latest imaging techniques in the healthcare field, focusing his attention on the impacts of osteoporosis. He was the recipient of multiple honors including the University of California Regent Scholar for all four years during his dental schooling.
Dr. Separzadeh belongs to numerous local, national, and international dental and orthodontic associations. His professional affiliations include: Saint Louis University Society for Advancement of Orthodontic Education, American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Fernando Valley Dental Society.
Dr. Separzadeh has a motto to give back to his surroundings and community. He conducted a 12 month fellowship in Cleft Lip and Palate at Cardinal-Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO. In addition, he volunteers his time and provides dental care at various organizations including: the Boys and Girls Club of America, Latin American Dental Services and South Central Care.
Dr. Separzadeh enjoys golfing, playing basketball, water sports, cooking and traveling.
